A few years ago I was struggling with an unspecified auto-immune disorder. I suffered from severe digestive problems, acne, eczema, virulent full-body rashes, and fatigue. The recommendation of my allergist was to go on a trial course of Prednisone to suppress these symptoms. On the advice of some friends, I tried a gluten free diet and my health improved. However, a few years later, many of my symptoms returned. I was concerned and frustrated, ready to resign myself that I would have to go on medication to manage these issues.
Working with Dan taught me I didn’t need to reconcile myself to a suboptimal level of health or a lifetime of taking medication. I learned that through changing my diet I could acquire a level of wellness I hadn’t thought possible even before my initial health problems. With gradual changes to my diet, my digestion improved, skin rashes and hives disappeared, and my energy level increased. I also found that I didn’t need to snack all the time or feel hungry between meals.
My favorite part about working with Dan was his enthusiasm in sharing the theory and science behind his approach. The information I was provided convinced me this was the right path and kept me motivated to persevere with the revisions to my diet. Dan approached my issues with a mind to fix underlying problems, which not only alleviated my ailments, but increased my health overall. I feel more in control of my health now than I ever have.
